Vehicles pulled by sunlight

No emissions of harmful gases, without gasoline, solar-powered battery-powered vehicles will change the lives of a few million million cars in India, reduce dependence on oil, tackle traffic congestion and reduce emissions causing environmental pollution.

Solar battery scooters, released to the public on October 2 in New Delhi city, are tow trucks that can run on human or 36 volt solar batteries. This type of vehicle (called soleckshaw) was designed by the Indian Center for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The first models ran at Chandni Chowk, one of the busiest and oldest markets in Old Delhi.

" The most important thing is that the new vehicle will make buggy owners feel more proud of their work, while reducing the power that they have to ride to ride. From the car pullers, they will become drivers, "said Pradip Kumar Sarmah, director of the Indian Rural Development Center.

With a sturdy frame and cushioned seats, the soleckshaw has a maximum speed of 15 km / h and carries 3 people. Car occupants can listen to FM programs on radio stations and charge mobile phones.

Solar battery allows soleckshaw to travel 50-70 km if fully charged . The driver can take the used battery to a solar battery charging station to recharge and replace.

The Indian public was delighted at the arrival of the solar-powered vehicle.

" Riding on a bike is a hard work. I often suffer from chest pain and trouble breathing. With new cars, I will probably lose my strength. Previously, people called us a car-puller, and the scene "They don't like us very much. They are always willing to punish us for parking wrongly. Now people respect us more, " said Bappa Chatterjee, one of the 500,000 chartered drivers in Delhi.

Kapil Sibal, Minister of Science and Technology of India, said that soleckshaw should be deployed across the country. " It is the ideal means of transportation for families when traveling. We currently have solar-powered buses, but their numbers are too small to meet the travel needs of travelers. "he said.

According to the minister, towing vehicles running solar cells can compete with small cars that run gasoline and diesel in terms of cost and usage costs.

" The amount of toxic emissions is increasing and 60% of that is coming out of the vehicles. The solar-powered vehicles will contribute to reducing harmful emissions if they are widely used across the planet. " he said.
