Vending machines give information about the earthquake

Thousands of beverage vending machines in Japan will be electronically tagged to provide emergency information about earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters.

Nucleus specializes in electronic signage will be installed on vending machines for LED diodes, with emergency information provided by Japan's National Meteorological Agency.

These vending machines will be prioritized for installation in crowded areas, such as terminals, airports, highway breaks. If there is no natural disaster, the machine will report weather, time or emergency information. By the end of 2005, there were about 2.75 million automatic beverage dispensers in Japan.
