On April 20, Venezuela recorded a new Guinness record for the longest chocolate chain in the world, set in Caripito district, Monagas state, in the northeast of this South American country.

Fundatierra Foundation - the sponsor and implementation of the above record, said that Guinness has issued a document certifying the record because 4,289 chocolate bars are lined up in a row with a total length of 854m, extending from the monument of the liberator. Simón Bolívar to the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, on Avenue Nueva Jerusalén in the heart of Caripito.

A total of 607 people participated in arranging the chocolate bars to create the above record on April 17. The end result far exceeded the original goal of setting a record with just over 2,000 chocolate bars lined up in a row.

Guinness also posted a message congratulating Venezuela on this new record.
