While swimming at the beach in Gold Coast (Australia), a man sees a stingray swimming next to him. To impress friends, the man decided to tease the rays by jumping on it.
According to Nine News, the stingray proved to be very angry and attacked the rogue man. Fortunately, the man dodged that dangerous attack and swam to the shore.
Earlier in 2006, wildlife expert Steve Irwin was killed after being attacked by a stingray during filming of a documentary.
The tail of the stingray looks like a whip and is almost 3 times longer than the length of the body. There are 2 spines on the tail, spines with jagged edges, connected to the secretive glands. When facing enemies, stingrays often use their tail containing poison to attack and paralyze their opponents, leading to death.
