Experience from developed countries shows that the economic development process is not concerned with environmental issues will bring low economic efficiency, the cost of pollution treatment activities will be higher than investment costs. for pollution control measures.

The Clean Up the World campaign was initiated by Australia in 1993 and launched by the United Nations Environment Program on a global scale, held in the third week of September every year. The campaign has become an important annual international environmental event, drawing the participation of hundreds of millions of people and more than 130 countries.

Vietnam participated in the campaign since 1994 and so far has been responded to by ministries, mass organizations, localities and people of all strata through many effective activities.
