Wind powered vehicles
Two car enthusiasts in Beverly Hills, Calif., Are focusing on producing the first non-polluting, wind-powered car. It is the RORMaxx Formula AE and the first model will be launched in August.
The car will use a solar battery to start, but will then use the flow when passing through the engine to run a turbine. Carrying 4 wheels is a motor with a capacity of 248hp.
To speed up the operation, the weight of the four wheels is reduced to the minimum possible. The chassis is made of lightweight aluminum, while the body is cast in monocoque steel. With this level of performance, the car must have a very low drag coefficient to achieve the above performance.
It is expected that after completion, Formula AE will be able to increase the speed from 0-100 km / h in no more than 4 seconds and can travel more than 320km of battery fully loaded. The maximum speed is estimated at 250 km / h.
While the free fuel-powered product may sound like the earliest, the Telegraph says the car will cost about £ 100,000.
