25% of US hackers work for the FBI

According to a survey by a British newspaper - The Guardian, 25% of US hackers are confidential informants for the US Interrogation Bureau (FBI). This information is also acknowledged by the famous magazine publisher - Eric Corley.

The Guardian had a secret investigation and found that a large number of hackers had effectively transmitted information to the FBI. According to Corley, hackers are quite vulnerable to being threatened by fear of harsh penalties and their lack of legal experience.

This magazine also talks to John Young, who operates the Cryptome website similar to WikiLeaks on this issue. Young also agrees with Corley's view of the hacker world. They are too vulnerable to legal ignorance.

The Guardian also gave an example of the case of Adrian Lamo, a convicted hacker, who removed the army of Bradley Manning last year. Bradley Manning was an intelligence analyst of the US military who transferred classified documents to Lamo, but then Lamo returned them to the US government. Therefore, Manning was arrested shortly after.

In fact, the informants for the FBI are in the hacker community. But the 25% figure seems like a lot and there's no basis that they provide information to the FBI . However, this is Corley's estimate and based on his insights into the number of hackers who are easily intimidated. But last Sunday (June 5), an FBI website - InfraGard Atlanta was also hacked by hackers and revealed the identities of 180 users and passwords of these group members.
