6 leading geotechnical professors to Vietnam

World famous professors such as Sven Hansbo (Sweden), Alain Guilloux (France), Rolf Katzenbach (Germany) . participated in the geotechnical report at the Geotechn conference held on November 28 in Hanoi. .

This is the second time Hanoi hosted the Geotechnics Conference

The International Geotechnical Conference for Sustainable Development 2013 (Geotechn 2013) welcomed about 500 delegates from 27 countries around the world to attend. The program is organized by Fecon Underground Engineering and Underground Corporation (Vietnam). Co-organizer is the Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering VSSMGE (Vietnam) and Asian Institute of Technology - AIT (Thailand).

Geotechnics were first held in Hanoi in October 2011 with nearly 450 delegates from 24 countries around the world and intensive lectures in geotechnical fields. This year, conference attendees continued to have access to 6 intensive lectures by six leading geotechnical professors around the world such as Sven Hansbo (Sweden); Alain Guilloux (France); Rolf Katzenbach (Germany); Fumio Tatsuoka (Japan), Helmut Schweiger (Austria); Kenichi Soga (UK).

Earlier, the conference also received 112 in-depth reports of geotechnical and national researchers on 5 topics: foundations for high-rise buildings; underground works in soft soil; renovation and reinforcement of soft soil foundation for infrastructure works; monitoring and equipment for underground and excavation works; models of geotechnical problems and numerical methods. The organizers have selected 84 excellent articles to report directly at the conference. On November 29, the conference continued with quality lectures by leading professors in the geotechnical field.
