Born in a rural area of ​​Bac Giang province, when the phone was not as popular as it is now, Hoang had few opportunities to contact the phone, and there was no concept of telecommunications science."Back then, the whole village had only one house with a telephone, making communication extremely difficult and inconvenient ," Hoang said. By 2006, the family fitted a landline, since then the scientific world began to open. The 9th grade boy at that time was always curious and wondering why such a small device could connect people thousands of kilometers away. On the school, Hoang enthusiastically studied mathematics and physics with the thought of finding an answer.

In 2010, becoming a talented student of electronics and telecommunications, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Hoang not only found the answer to the long-standing question he had been searching for, but he also found it. passion and later path of self. Determined to follow the path of long-term scientific research, Hoang started to study electronics and science and technology topics from the second year of university through summer internship program at National University of Singapore.

Desiring to learn from experience, Hoang boldly asked to join the research group of teachers in the school. Thanks to the research knowledge he learned from his teachers, he attended the Honda Forum for young Asian engineers and scientists in Japan."Such experiences are an opportunity for me to grow up and be ready for bigger challenges , " Hoang said. In 2015, after graduating in the valedictorian with an excellent bachelor's degree in electronics and telecommunications, Hoang stayed at the school for a year before going to France to start a research career.

A PhD student at Paris-Saclay University (France), Dr. Hoang chose the topic of radio communication with the desire to become a computer scientist. His research focuses on limited analysis and communication algorithms for inconsistent communication systems, to address the issue of signal transmission via wireless channels in conditions of limited or damaged transmission infrastructure. ."Natural disasters can cause power and phone network paralysis. Maintaining the operation of the communication network under these conditions helps to ensure communication, support the response and remedial processes. Talking about future plans, Hoang hopes to continue doing postdoc (postdoc) studies in leading international research environments, greater contact with the research community and new knowledge about artificial intelligence.
