Experts from the University of Buffalo are studying the stingray's natural shape in an effort to design a more modern and faster generation of submarines than it does today.

The goal is to make fuel-efficient submarines , and the appearance of rays is thought to be the perfect submarine in nature.

Predictably, the new submarine design based on the stingray shape could allow researchers to reach new depths in the ocean, and be able to deploy effective rescue missions.

Recently, researchers used a computerized hydraulic algorithm to sketch the whirlpools that move when the rays move.

This is also the first time scientists have been studying cyclones in underwater conditions.
