Admire the photo won the 2014 National Photographer Award

The jury member Steve Jones commented on The Independent's photograph of Steeley's 'beautiful light, mysterious and fascinating underwater space'.

He shared during the 2014 vacation in Mexico that he was lucky to capture the above image in the clear sky, light 'like dancing' when penetrating the water coming below the natural sinkhole.

Steeley is an experienced diver, who began his passion for underwater photography in 1997, diving in the Bahamas, Maldives, Philippines, Egypt, South Africa, Alaska, Thailand and Indonesia.
