This error was discovered by Exploit Prevention Labs, a security firm. Accordingly, criminals set up their own websites and pay a higher price than legitimate companies in the AdWords program to be able to place ads related to popular search terms. Users who click on ads will be directed to the "trap" page before going to the legal page.

Currently, the number of people affected by this behavior has not been fully calculated, but security experts say it appears that the attack has slowed down because it only targets Windows XP users who have not upgraded periodically. However, they also recommend that the world's number one search firm applies a more secure way of confirming other accounts.

Google earned huge profits from online advertising, with a net profit of $ 3.08 billion in 2006 and a first quarter of $ 1 billion.
