Agamon Hula - paradise of birds and humans

Israel's Agamon Hula wildlife sanctuary is one of the most important sites of the more than 400 bird species.

Agamon Hula Wildlife Sanctuary is dubbed the 'paradise of birds and humans' because there are about 500 million birds of more than 400 species, including these white pelicans flying to the Agamon Hula valley in every immigration season.The Agamon Hula Valley is surrounded by the Golan, Korazim and Metulla plateaus and the Lebanese Republic and the Naphtali mountains of northern Israel and the Afro-Syrian Rift valley center.

In the 1950s, the Israeli government took water from Agamon Hula valley to serve agriculture.But since then, the landscape has changed, many species of birds and other animals have been reduced.After that, the Israeli government redistributed each site in the area, creating a new space for conservation and agricultural production.The Agamon region represents the only natural and agricultural cooperation model in Israel.In the photo, the donkeys that were "injured" are now protected in the Agamon Hula wildlife sanctuary.

Birds are one of many migratory birds across the Agamon Hula valley.These bright colored birds often 'bite' bees and other insects in mid-air.

At the bird-ring station in Agamon Hula, birds such as this black-headed bird are being studied.A metal ring is attached to one of the bird's legs to monitor the bird's migration process.

A black-headed cottonworm was studied before being released back to nature.Agamon Hula Valley is one of the important 'rest' areas for migratory birds.Many of their migrations from Africa came to rest and feed at Agamon Hula before flying to Europe and Asia.
