American girls have strange diseases when changing their skin every 4 hours
Harper Foy, in Washington, USA is believed to be the youngest person in the world with a disease that makes skin grow 7-10 times faster than normal people.
According to The Sun, doctors thought Harlequin Ichthyosis would make Harper unable to survive after birth. However, she won the fate and prepared to welcome her first birthday.

When Harper was still in the womb, her skin grew so quickly that when she was born, she had hard patches that prevented blood from circulating to her hands and feet. The surgeons then removed the hardened plates but they could not save Harper's four fingers.
"We didn't know about the disease until she was born. We were shocked. When she was born, she didn't look like a normal person but looked like an alien. We were very sad." , Angie, Harper's mother said.
After a while in hospital, Harper was home. Harper needs constant moisturizing because her skin flakes every 4-8 hours.
There was no cure for Harlequin Ichthyosis, so the family focused on giving Harper regular bathing and applying moisturizers so she wouldn't suffer. The family is collecting money to buy Harper a special bath on the occasion of their one-year-old birthday on September 20.
