Automatic cashew nut cutting system of Vu Thanh Mechanical Facility
Automatic cashew nut cutting machine
After nearly 5 years of hard work, Mr. Mai Vinh Thanh successfully produced Vietnam's first automatic cashew nut splitting system.
After nearly 5 years of hard work, Mr. Mai Vinh Thanh (owner of the Vu Thanh facility, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh) has successfully produced the first automatic cashew nut separator system in Vietnam.
The system operates under PLC program made available on the computer, fully automatic, on the basis of using pneumatic technology combined with quite simple mechanics with a capacity of 150kg of raw material per hour.
The structure and operation of the machine is very simple. Each system consists of 10 machines. Cashew nuts after steaming, chao is put into the hopper of each machine, and let down the tray sequentially. Thanks to the vibrating system, sequential particles enter the grooves. By the time certain particles are located in place, and at the same time, the knife is closed, cutting the seed in half, the shell and the nucleus are separated, according to the door falling onto conveyor.
The system can operate continuously in 3 shifts. 10 machines, each with a suitable structure for each size of different cashew nuts, before separating the cutting machine must classify the grain size (through classification system).
After the test, the system works stably, the percentage of broken particles does not exceed 11%. The process of electricity consumption for both systems (motor and electric for air supply) is negligible, only about 22kwh / shift. In addition, because it is powered by compressed air, the system does not cause loud noise, does not pollute the environment.
The productivity of this system is 150kg of raw material per hour and only requires 2 operators. If done manually, each worker can only cut 45 kg of raw beans / shift (12 hours). Thus the system replaces 40 workers. This benefits businesses very well, especially in the shortage of human resources for the current cashew industry.
Mr. Thanh's automatic cashew nut cutting system is being paid attention by cashew processing units in and outside the province, some businesses have ordered.
