Bac Lieu bird garden appears many rare and precious species

On July 26, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chanh, Director of Bac Lieu Bird Park Management Board, said that many species of rare and precious birds and storks have recently been named in the Vietnam Red Book of Bac Lieu Bird Park. Among them, the majority are dinosaurs, birds of the lotus, Indian storks, tailless storks, red abdomen, lemongrass storks, especially the gray-legged pelicans and Xumatra herons .

There are about 15 pelicans living in bird gardens, each weighing about 3kg, wingspan of nearly 2m.

Bac Lieu bird sanctuary has an area of ​​130 ha, wild bird and stork populations have 79 species, with about 60,000 individuals permanently residing.

According to experts, recently, the number and types of birds, rare storks in terms of residing and growing more and more are due to the ecological system and the improved environment here also plays a role of solid flora. display.

The botanical flora has nearly 200 species, many species such as dates, toads, tra, price, fish sauce . are very suitable habitats for breeding birds.

Mr. Chanh added that although Bac Lieu Bird Park is located in the city area, the population is crowded, but thanks to proper investment, proper management and nurturing stages, especially good work. propaganda, people living along bird gardens are committed not to hunt, join hands with the protection function industry so the number of species, individual birds, storks are increasing.
