Back pain is more serious than heart attack and stroke
According to a new study, lumbar pain is the biggest cause of disability in most countries, more severe than heart attack and stroke.
Research by experts on rheumatism and international epidemiology shows that farmers are 3.7 times more likely to suffer from back pain than office workers, while this ratio in the scientific community is 1 ,2 times.
The number of people suffering from pain in the lumbar region has increased from 58.2 million in 1990 to 83 million in 2010.
The main cause of increasing lumbar pain is the aging population, obesity and passive lifestyle.
According to Rachelle Buchbinder, a professor at Monash University in Melbourne, lumbar pain affects physical function, sometimes leaving very serious consequences.
For example, in some developing countries, many people have to use clean water for use. But if they have back pain, they can accept the use of polluted water near their home and disease will arise.
Buchbinder emphasized that most patients with back pain are mechanically and need proper treatment. For acute back pain patients should maintain daily activities and take analgesics if needed. If the back pain persists for more than 6 weeks, then the patient needs a mechanical treatment regimen.
