Bats also perform oral sex

(Scientists have recently discovered acts of oral sex in a fruit-eating bat. It seems that this action helps extend the 'relationship' time between male and female bats. This new finding is consistent with previous studies that show that the bat performs male bat genital sucking behavior.
The researchers observed and analyzed the behavior of bats living in southern India, near the village of Nallachampatti. This is the fruit-eating bat of the largest size.
During more than 13 months, using binoculars and video cameras, the researchers observed 57 sexual and mating cases - often in the morning.
Bats also act as flirtatious sex partners with oral sex
Ganapathy Marimuthu, a bat researcher at Madurai Kamaraj University in India, said: "In addition to humans, bats also act as flirtatious sex partners."
Initially, the male prepared its 'precious' before approaching the female. When it gently touches the female with wings, the females usually start moving and the males follow. When the children stop, the male starts licking the female's vagina, this is called vocalization (oral sex - cunnilingus). Researchers say this foreplay helps stimulate and lubricate the female's vagina.
This action usually lasts about 50 seconds, then the males 'love' the females for about 10 to 20 seconds and continue to return to oral sex for 97 to 188 seconds.
The researchers found that their actions helped the mating time to last longer.
"It is possible to extend mating time to allow sperm movement , " one study author told LiveScience. "Such sperm movement increases the chance of conception."
Scientists also note that male bats can perform the above behavior to clean up competitors' sperm. This can help ensure its infection, not the other male sperm that conceives the children. They also said that observations should be made at close range to see if the male bat's tongue enters the female's vagina.
The study was carried out by scientists at Madurai Kamaraj University, presented online in PloS ONE magazine on March 28.
