Biological products turn straw into organic fertilizer

In order to overcome this situation, in 2011, Hai Duong Department of Science and Technology in conjunction with the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment developed a scheme to organize the handling of surplus post-harvest straw into organic fertilizer. using biological products for agriculture in the 2011-2015 period.

The method of treating rice straw by bio-product to produce organic fertilizer is based on the principle of adding organic strains of organic decomposition microorganisms capable of quickly and thoroughly resolving straw, After harvest, it is a nutritious micro-organic fertilizer, which is absolutely safe for people and animals.

The most commonly used probiotics are FITO-BIOMIX-RR produced by Hanoi Biotechnology Joint Stock Company, which has been granted the HI-2010 utility patent by the National Office of Intellectual Property - Science and technology.

Straw is fully dried on the way

For every ton of straw, it is incubated with 0.2kg of inoculant, 3kg of NPK chemical fertilizer and 50 liters of water so that the moisture content reaches 80%. Spread straw into layers, each 30cm thick, sprinkle one solution of dissolved product and sprinkle with NPK fertilizer, adding manure. Then, cover all plastic compost pile to ensure hygiene, keep moisture and heat.

For more straw and straw, and make all kinds of microorganisms distributed, it is necessary to regularly irrigate, maintain the moisture, mix well between the place of decomposition and the first decomposition place after 10-12 days, the second time a 10 day time.

After 30 days or more, manure quality inspection can be carried out, if the requirement can be used.

In preparation for the implementation of the project, the Provincial Center for Scientific Equipment Application has cooperated with People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in the province to organize 138 training courses for 13,950 farmer households. ; extensive dissemination through mass organizations and mass media; Free support for more than 10.5 tons of inoculants.

After 1 year of implementation in 124 communes of 12 districts, towns and cities in the province, the above method has obtained positive results, has just taken advantage of waste sources, helping farmers to save land, both protecting the environment and contributing to sustainable agricultural production.

In 2011, the amount of treated straw and straw in the province was 43,844 tons, reached 46.9% of the plan and accounted for 12.3% of the total amount of straw and surplus rice straw in the province.

Households comply with the technical process, after 35-40 days, the basic straw has been decomposed into good quality organic fertilizer, commonly used in agricultural production, increasing crop yields, with place up to 3%. The model of straw treatment by biological products of Hai Duong province has received wide attention. In 2011, the inter-ministerial delegation including the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Science and Technology visited and worked in some localities of Thanh Ha district about this model.

In the coming time, Hai Duong Department of Science and Technology continues to study and supplement this project, instructing officials and people to use probiotics more effectively to reach 2015, In the province, there is basically no phenomenon of burning and discharging straw indiscriminately on roads, irrigation works, causing a loss of beauty and affecting environmental sanitation.
