Catch the red-eared Lake Sword turtle in March

The Department of Science and Technology of Hanoi will destroy the red-eared turtle of the Sword Lake next month when the weather is warmer.

' In March, the weather warms, the red-eared turtles will go to the sun-exposed shore, so it is convenient for killing this dangerous turtle, ' said Le Xuan Rao, director of the department.

He also said that in mid-February there will be an international scientific seminar on turtles in Hanoi, with contributions from national and international scientists. This is an opportunity to listen, get advice from turtle experts, to get the best way to kill red ear turtles.

Previously, two measures to kill red-eared turtles were proposed by the Department of Science and Technology to use plastic or stainless steel cages of appropriate size so as not to affect Turtle tools. The second measure is to use floating rafts in Guom Lake to raise red-eared turtles, because this type of turtles are very fond of sunshine, then they will vibrate for falling turtles, and there will be a net to pull up.

Mr. Rao said that the device to kill red-eared turtles is in the process of being completed, and will bring the test before applying it at Ho Guom Lake. According to him, the equipment is modern, does not affect the ecological environment and aquatic animals in Sword Lake.
