Recent research by Brian Wansink, from Cornell University, New York (USA), on 184 4-year-old children showed that if carrots are called "X-ray carrots", the children will eat That is twice the amount of every day.

And the effects of the new name lasted for the following days. Even when the new name no longer seems special, children will still eat carrots 50% more than usual.

"Strange names can make food attractive , " Brian commented.

"Even if it's a 'power bean' or a cauliflower dinosaur ', putting the food in a funny name will make the kids think it's fun, worth eating. And this effect seems to be still lasts for later days ".

Brian also found similar results in adults when the name of the food was changed.

Brian added: "The same food, but different expectations will give us different experiences."
