Close-up of underground survival apartments, where the super-rich swim, watch movies, relax, party, ... waiting for the apocalypse to pass
We cannot accurately predict the future, even if science makes predictions about the future, it is essentially based on the pattern of the past. In the end, things can go wrong.
This is why the company Survival Condo chose a secret location in Kansas where they converted a rocket bunker into a luxury survival resort that can accommodate 75 people and let them live comfortably. comfortably for 5 years if there is an accident that causes the apocalypse to happen.
From the outside, Survival Condo may not be anything special, but this high-tech complex offers a luxurious living space on par with high-end apartments worldwide. It has a swimming pool, climbing wall and movie theater, so those inside will never get bored.
Survival Condo's location is secret. Visitors are not allowed to reveal. Only know it is at the end of the road about 2 hours drive from Wichita, behind a barbed wire fence, protected by security 24/24.
Surveillance cameras send live images of the surrounding area to the main security room 24/7.
Underground depots provide backup fuel in the event of an emergency.
Survival Condo is protected by an 8-ton steel door.
Survival Condo is built in the Atlas missile silo, the bunker itself built in the early 1960s. Designed to last after nuclear missile launches (with thick reinforced concrete walls. 2.7m), these bunkers housed America's nuclear arsenal during the Cold War. The Kansas cellar was reinforced with concrete before being converted to serve wealthy guests.
The layout of Survival Condo at the elevator, spread over 15 floors and extends 61m underground. On the top floor, above ground and in a green grass-covered hill, is a dome containing public amenities, including a pet park, game room, swimming pool and indoor climbing area. Below are the mechanical, medical, and food storage floors, with luxurious living areas spread throughout the next seven floors. On the bottom four floors are classrooms, a library, a cinema, a bar and a gym.
Each apartment has its own internal car parking space, protected from the harsh elements of the apocalyptic environment.
Survival Condo has emergency supply rooms that contain standard survival gear: camo suits, helmets, and duct tape.
In addition to the medical area, Survival Condo has a pharmacy as well as a drug store that can last up to seven years for each resident.
Survival Condo is equipped with a lot of guns to ensure security. Survival Condo owner Larry Hall said many residents who buy apartments want to learn how to shoot a gun. "You can come down here and try everything from shotguns to . sniper rifles," he said.
Survival Condo's pantry includes everything from dried raspberries to canned eggs, all rated up to 35 years old.
Perhaps the most amazing part of Survival Condo is the large swimming pool, about 230,000 liters, with an automatic water refilling and disinfection system, with a miniature area with a water slide.
An indoor climbing field will help residents stay physically active.
On the residential floor, the apartments give residents all the conveniences of a modern apartment, just buried many floors underground instead of skyscrapers. The kitchen has brand new appliances. Lighting and room temperature are controlled by touch screen.
The TVs in all rooms of the apartment are connected to outside security cameras, providing 'windows' to the world. Larry Hall says setting will be important for maintaining mental health.
This is the living room of one of the full-floor apartments in Survival Condo. In addition to the full-floor apartment, it also has a half-story apartment.
At the bottom of the Survival Condo, a movie theater provides residents with a place to relax with 2,000 movies stocked.
The community floors at the end include the library and classrooms…
Inside the control room, all surveillance cameras feed images to a central control panel, making it possible for security personnel to see all public areas and outside the cellar.
A smoke control system monitors every floor of the Survival Condo. If there is a fire, security can isolate the problem and remove harmful air from the building.
Nearby, Larry Hall purchased a second Atlas rocket bunker to convert into another apartment complex. From the outside, it looks like a wooden door.
But inside, Hall and his team built new concrete floors to separate the cellar into different levels, with a new steel staircase connecting the floors.
The elevator shaft is left with space for assembly later, providing a terrifying view to the bottom of the tunnel.
A reinforced blast-resistant door remains of the bunker, leading the way to the old missile control room. These doors are designed to withstand the power of nuclear missiles.
There isn't much left in the control room, but the area used to have six rocket engineers working at the same time.
Apartments cost from $500,000 (about 11.5 billion VND) to 3 million USD (about 68.5 billion VND), plus $2,500 per month for living expenses: electricity, water, internet, food.
