Depression makes bones easier to break
That is the conclusion of the Hebrew University (Israel) has just been published. Besides, scientists also said that anti-depression drugs have a good effect on osteoporosis patients.
Scientists have given some lazy mice the ability to take anti-depressant drugs like humans. After a while, they found that in addition to being more active, their bone density also increased significantly, especially in the hips and spine.
This is the first study to confirm that depression is one of the most important causes of osteoporosis.
According to scientists: Depression is the first sign of stress (stress), while when stressed, the body will react with a chemical compound called noradrenaline damaging to bone growth cells.
Antidepressants will resolve noradrenaline and therefore also reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
