Device controlled by gesture
According to AFP, the Japanese electronics company said the device works thanks to the camcorder recognizing three-dimensional shapes, combined with a projector that shows an image of an input device, such as a keyboard, on most surface.
NEC Japanese technology giant has just announced the virtual input device, allowing users to control TVs, mobile phones or tablets with gestures.

According to AFP, the Japanese electronics company said the device works thanks to the camcorder recognizing three-dimensional shapes, combined with a projector that shows an image of an input device, such as a keyboard, on most surface.
Control device is similar to NEC technology
Users can swipe their hands on the projected image to move electronic files or watch videos, and with hand movement, they can control any device within sight.
'With the recent expansion of cloud computing services, portals are diversified, from desktops to smartphones and tablets' , according to press releases from NEC.
'However, the presence of information is limited to the screens of each device, and actions to be taken with the use of input devices such as remote controls, mice, or monitors touch'.
With the new technology, many different devices can be controlled by a single user's gesture without the need for an input device, allowing the creation of more natural interactive surfaces, according to NEC.
NEC said it hopes to develop new technology and apply it to all non-screen devices, from torch lights to air conditioners, to open the control perspective with a wave of the hand.
