The World Conservation Fund has just released a report on the species of biologists found in the Greater Mekong Sub-region in 2011. The report said 126 new species have been revealed in the Sub-region. The Mekong River extends, of which 36 species are distributed in Vietnam.

With distinctly white and black halves, the Yin Yang frog (Leptobrachium leucops) is another prominent species. They live in areas of evergreen and cloudy moist forests in southern Vietnam and Lang Bian plateau.
Green poisonous snake with ruby eyes (Trimeresurus rubeus) is one of 21 species of reptiles discovered in 2011. They live in forests near Ho Chi Minh City and low hills in the south.
'New findings in 2011 demonstrate the incredible biodiversity of the Mekong region, but many species are now facing a survival war because the habitats are increasingly narrowed. Only by investing in nature conservation, especially in protected areas and developing a greener economy, can we protect newly discovered species and hope to find many other species as well. in the future, ' said Nick Cox, WWF Species Program Manager at the Greater Mekong Sub-region.
