The unseen science "beast" has an Eastern-like appearance that resembles the land where it left its body: a dinosaur-like body and head, but covered in black feathers like a crow's, wingspan like an eagle, especially the long tail like the legendary phoenix. The tail bone is twice as long as the rest of the animal.

This flying dinosaur has a narrow face and sharp teeth, suggesting it could have been a major threat from the sky.

According to Dr. Ashley Poust from the San Diego Museum of Natural History (USA), the lead author of the study, although the creature's nature is a dinosaur, it possesses the incredible properties of birds and is very can carry in the mysterious jar the origin of birds. However, to determine that, they need more research, and may need more than one fossil.

The authors consider this to be a typical example showing that the path that ancient life has come through is still many mysteries and surprising. Reuters also called Wulong bohaiensis by a mysterious colorful name "dancing dragon".

Research published in The Anatomical Record also revealed the animal is still a minor. Scientists believe that as an adult, it will appear colorful feathers in order to attract mates. This creature is thought to be a relative of Velociraptor , a dinosaur genus that existed at the end of the Cretaceous period, of which the most famous species is Velociraptor mongoliensis; was discovered in Mongolia. Most dinosaurs of this genus are small in size, just over a turkey.
