The mysterious characters are drawn near the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh.

Senusret III is a great pharaoh of the 12th Dynasty and is regarded as the most powerful Egyptian ruler of that dynasty.

Associate Professor of Egypt at the University of Pennsylvania, Josef Wegner, who led the team unearthed the tomb of pharaoh, one of the largest royal tombs ever built during ancient Egypt.

The figure is 1.5m long, can describe a large boat buried near the tomb of pharaoh.

Writing in the International Journal of Archeology, Wegner said they found a boat buried in the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh. Although the boat is not intact, it is still a great discovery for researchers. They believed it was buried next to the pharaoh's tomb as a funeral tradition.

Archaeologists do not know who painted these mysterious characters but they believe that this is the work of many people in a short time.

According to Mirror, it is possible that the builders or people attending the funeral of the pharaoh drew these characters.

The largest image is nearly 1.5m long, showing a large boat with masts, sails, cabins, rudders, and paddles, Wegner wrote in a magazine. There are also other small ships pictures. The team of researchers thinks this is an image of ships preparing to go to sea.

Besides, pictures of cattle and flowers are also painted on ancient architecture.

Wegner's team, in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, excavated the area from mid-2014 to the present.
