Razorback2, among eDonkey's largest peer-to-peer systems and currently attracting more than 3 million users, was shut down after a surprise inspection by Belgian and Swiss police.
Razorback2 is an important indexing server of eDonkey and works only through other systems such as eMule. It does not save files and documents, but effectively supports access to a variety of copyrighted content (an estimated 170 million files).
Dan Glickman, President and CEO of the American Film Association (MPA), said Razorback2 owners did not apply the necessary measures to manage the files users exchanged, including many files " child porn videos, bomb making instructions and terror training ". Of course, if they successfully control and prevent these contents, the MPA can still accuse them of abetting the piracy.
