ATV-2 was launched from Kourou Space Center
ATV-2, also known as Johannes Kepler, was launched by Ariane 5 rocket from Kourou Space Center in Guiana (France) at 21:50 (GMT) on February 16. Carrying goods, fuel and oxygen, Johannes Kepler is expected to automatically assemble with Russia's Zvezda module on ISS on 24-22.
Earlier, the ATV-1 or Jules Verne was launched into orbit in 2008, providing food, equipment and fuel to the ISS.
