Excavating the tomb, the archaeological team was terrified to see the mummy that had woken up in the coffin.

When the female body was brought to the lab, experts were horrified to discover that she had been buried alive and then woke up in a coffin. Truly haunting!

In 1999, while some villagers in Qiqihar Village, Heilongjiang Province, China were digging a road, they unexpectedly found a blue brick. At that time, the villagers did not pay much attention and continued to build the road, but they dug up more and more similar bricks.

At a certain depth, a whole wall of blue bricks was revealed, there was no doubt, this was definitely an ancient tomb. At that time, it was dark, the street lights were not bright, so these people decided to put down their hoes, go home to rest and come back tomorrow.

However, news of the ancient tomb in Qiqihar quickly spread. Two young men in the village, greedily wanting to steal antiques, sneaked into the tomb that night, set up a lamp, and used a shovel to open the coffin lid.

When the coffin lid was pried open, the scene before the two young men would probably never forget for the rest of their lives: " The body in the coffin was lying in an extremely miserable position, mouth wide open, limbs struggling, clothes disheveled, as if this person's death was not peaceful at all." The two young men ran out of the mausoleum in terror and reported the incident to the local authorities.

The next morning, the local cultural relics team arrived and sealed off the scene. The archaeological team in charge of the case was also haunted by the scene inside the tomb.

The body was preserved relatively intact even after more than 200 years.

After a quick inspection, the archaeological team discovered that this tomb actually contained only a body and a coffin, along with 26 Qing Dynasty coins, and no valuable items. However, the strange thing was that this body that had been underground for more than 200 years was actually very well preserved, with the skin, muscles, and joints of the body not damaged!

The body was that of a woman, her eyes were rolled back, her mouth was wide open. Based on the structure of her skeleton, it could be determined that she was around 25 years old.

She had three piercings in her ears. According to Qing Dynasty regulations, commoners could only have one or two piercings. This woman could have been a Manchu lady or the concubine of a Qing Dynasty official.

Nightmare: "Waking Up in a Coffin"

When the body was brought to the laboratory, experts discovered a black lotus-shaped object lying under the female corpse's legs. The results of the examination showed that it was a complete placenta. This woman was pregnant when she died!

However, she did not die of an infectious disease or dysplasia, but of a normal illness. When her condition worsened, the woman only fell into a coma but was declared dead by the doctor. Her family quickly held a funeral and arranged the funeral.

A short time later, the poor woman woke up in the coffin, she could only scream, struggle, kick the coffin and call for help in despair until she was exhausted. The moment this body was buried alive really haunted the experts when discovering the truth!

The reason why this body was preserved intact for 300 years turned out to come from here: The woman buried alive in the coffin consumed all the oxygen, turning this place into an ideal vacuum environment to preserve the body.

During the time when science and medicine were not yet developed, people in many countries such as China and Vietnam often had the custom of leaving the deceased at home for 3, 5 or 7 days before burying them, also to avoid tragic cases like this.
