Many merchants and customers come here to take photos with a strange shaped shark. They even gave the fish a pair of glasses to highlight the part that looks like its human eyes, nose and mouth.

Faruk Polat, president of the Mersin City Fisheries Association, said it was not a fierce shark. In some countries, it is also respected and worshiped.

"However, in Turkey we only consider it a fish. We call it human face because it has the same eyes, nose and mouth , " Polat explained.

" This shark is thought to be very good for people with diabetes. Many scientific studies prove it helps regulate blood sugar. Therefore, we decided to freeze and sell the fish to customers. Polat said: "If it really helps people with the disease, we will be very happy."
