Once an injury or fracture takes several weeks to several months to recover, severe cases sometimes take up to half a year. Therefore, the US Department of Defense decided to sponsor research to speed up bone.

Early tests with putty therapy yielded promising results in animals. Researchers from the University of Georgia Biological Center have experimented with adult mice. The mesenchymal stem cells extract and develop a protein that has a significant impact on bone healing. They were combined with putty gel and injected into the fracture of the test mice. After 2 weeks of taking the medicine, the mice were able to run and jump like never before.
Putty therapy brings promising results in animals
Putty therapy is continuing to be tested on pigs and sheep. The sheep were bones in less than 4 weeks. The next plan will conduct clinical trials at the veterinary university. If all goes well, the putty therapy will be delivered to the Ministry of Defense for human testing.
Young soldiers who are injured but must be attached to a hospital bed for 3-6 months may face mental health problems. So putty brings great hope for injury trauma worldwide.
Research on accelerated bone growth is also being conducted by many other organizations such as Baylor, Rice and Texas universities.
