When they found the fossil of Hesperonychus, Canadian scientists hypothesized that the little dinosaur was in adolescence but the test results showed that the animal was in its adult stage (after searching see its pelvis).
This animal lived in Canada 75 million years ago, and is the smallest dinosaur in North America so far. Hesperonychus is only 11.18cm tall and weighs 2kg.
Their food is small terrestrial animals. Nick Longrich of the University of Calgary said: 'I guess it's just a small predator, eating wild animals, birds and newborn dinosaurs.'
