According to NewScientist , Ukrainian researchers have recently succeeded in obtaining images inside Carbon atoms, demonstrating several types of electron structure (blue part) of C atoms.

Electrons are microscopic particles, within such a small space that atoms rotate around the atomic nucleus to create high-speed motion, and the movement is not the same as the movement of large objects. has a definite direction and orbit, can only use electronic cloud to describe it somewhere outside the atomic particle that appears in size.

Electronic cloud is a description of the density distribution of electrons in the outer space of atoms and electrons that appear somewhere in the outer space of the atom, which seems to capture electron cloud. negatively charged around the atomic particles, people call it figuratively as ' electronic clouds '.

The scientific group Igor Mikhailovskij of the Kharko University of Physics and Technology, Ukraine has recently built and obtained images of electronic clouds, which are the first images that scientists have obtained.

The team isolated the thin membrane of the single atom into a chain of C atoms, and placed the C atomic chain in a vacuum of 4.2 kelvin. Kelvin is the unit of measurement for the Kelvin temperature scale, in which 0 o is absolute, equivalent to -237.15 o C. Then electrify 425V through the C atomic chain, making the magnetic field in the outer region release electrons phosphor screen, to obtain such electronic cloud image.

It is known that scientists will publish the results of their research in Physical Review B.
