What do you think if an umbrella can announce it's going to rain before you leave? That is the idea behind Opus One, a smart umbrella designed by former Samsung engineers.

According to Engadget, this device connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth and reports on the weather every morning. When you need to go out, you just shake the handle and the red or green light will blink, depending on what is going to happen (rain or sun).

However, that is not the only thing the umbrella can do. Opus One also alerts you via a smartphone if you receive a call or message, and the handler shakes to let you know that something needs to be checked.

Instead of using the internal battery, the Opus One uses four AAA batteries and under normal conditions can operate for one year. Opus One has already been sold in Japan and South Korea, but startups are looking for distributors who can reach the West.

Opus's designs are inspired by England. The umbrella is shaped like a British gentleman wearing a hat or soldiers guarding the British Queen.

Perhaps the head of the company has seen the movie Kingsman: The Secret Service many times during the product development phase.
