According to BGR, a fossilized amber inside contains the smallest dinosaur ever discovered. This fossil is found in Myanmar, inside it contains the skull of a bird-like species.

This item is dated to about 99 million years. This animal is thought to live in the Cretaceous. The findings have been published in the journal Nature.

While amber does not contain the animal's complete skeleton, scientists estimate its size through the skull. They believe it is only the size of a hummingbird, the smallest bird in the world alive today.

According to BGR, humans always think of dinosaurs as giant animals that can shake the ground where they go. However, there are small dinosaurs that once existed. Fossil remains from Myanmar make it clear that there are still such small dinosaurs.

Now scientists have named the new dinosaur Oculudentavis khaungraae.

Professor Jingmai O'Connor, co-author of the above, said it was the strangest fossil he was lucky to find. According to the professor's description, this animal eats insects to live. The beak of this species is pointed and the teeth are so close that it can catch bugs more easily.

This jaw structure is easily found in today's birds. Most likely, the dinosaurs millions of years ago became modern birds.

Such fossils are hard to find because they are fragile. Such a small object could hardly survive for hundreds of millions of years to be discovered by humans.
