Full moon makes people difficult to sleep

Dr. Silvia Frey's study at the University of Basel in Switzerland and colleagues published in the journal Current Biology found that people sleep less when the moon is full and this is due to genetic imprints from our ancestors, capital living in the cave.

The team explained that people sleep less when the moon peaks at a monthly cycle not because of the moon's light or gravity but because we have a biological clock every month , similar to the daily biological clock.

Deep sleep during the monthly moon is left by ancestors because early humans need to be more alert to deal with predators - which find food more convenient than the bright moon.

Scientists surveyed the sleep of 33 volunteers by scanning the brain and found that when the moon was full, brain activity associated with deep sleep decreased by 30%.

At full moon, they slept less than other days for an average of 20 minutes, and the melatonin hormone-regulating hormone was also less secreted. At that time, the time to fall asleep was longer than the average of about 5 minutes compared to the other days.
