Physorg reports psychologists and marketing experts at Royal Holloway University in the UK want to explore the impact of fun music for festive occasions on the psychology of shoppers. They interviewed customers in stores and supermarkets after they listened to funny songs like: Jingle Bells, All I Want For Christmas . The results showed that most customers admitted they were willing to spend more money than originally planned if the pulsating melodies entered their ears when they stood in front of the shelves.

"Funny melodies positively affect the mood and feel of the customers 'time. They also affect the customers' thoughts about the products they want to buy. In other words, music tracks For festivals that can change your shopping behavior, but you are not aware of it, " said Dr. Alan Bradshaw, lecturer in marketing at Royal Holloway University.

In fact, businesses around the world have taken advantage of busy music to impact customers for decades. But this is the first time scientists have studied the relationship between music and shopping behavior.

In addition to music, smell is also a possible factor affecting the minds of customers. A study in Switzerland showed that if a pleasant smell appeared in the store, the amount the customer spent was an average of 20% more than when no odor appeared.
