Gene regulates negative reactions in humans

Canadian scientists have recently discovered a gene that can make people look more negative than others.

To conduct the study, scientists from the University of British Columbia asked 200 participants to observe a series of positive, negative or neutral words. As a result, people with ADRA2b gene types perceive and remember more negative words than others.

To explain this, the team said that ADRA2b has the ability to affect hormones and play an important role in processing emotional memory information. Therefore, genetic variation can significantly influence how people perceive and experience the world.

"Most people experience the world through the prism of genes, biotransformation at the genetic level can make a difference in personal perception," RedOrbit quoted Professor Rebecca Tod as belonging to The Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, said.

When examining this phenomenon in racial terms, the researchers found that more than half of white people carry the ADRA2 gene , significantly more than other races.

People with negative genes often have angry faces in the crowd. When walking outdoors, they always pay attention to potential hazards such as places that can slip or stones that can fall, instead of admiring the beauty of nature.

Last year, a gene that had the complete opposite of the ADRA2 gene was discovered called gene Santa Clause . This gene reduces the risk of depression by 8% as well as reducing obesity rates.
