Going fishing, the man was scared when he caught something scary
A terrifying sea creature has left fishermen baffled after getting caught in their nets in Thailand.
The incident was recorded on December 19, in Satun, Thailand. In the clip, a spider-like animal with dozens of tentacles twitched while on the man's boat.
"I thought it was just seaweed, but then it moved. I was scared for a moment , " said fisherman Chanathat Kongyossapat.
The animal is actually a feather starfish . According to Phuket Aquarium, feather starfish are classified between echinoderms and starfish and are usually found on coral or rocky reefs.
The feather starfish possesses many feather-like arms, which it uses to catch food flowing with the water current into its central mouth.
Feather starfish can be found in both the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. However, those in the Gulf of Thailand are typically black, while those in the Andaman Sea tend to be more brightly colored.
