Accordingly, unlike some newspapers that reported this virus as BOTNET and the principle of spreading based on the error of Yahoo! Messenger, Bkis thinks that this virus can only be used to download BOTNET but it is not BOTNET itself. Its spreading principle is based on a user's vulnerability, not the Yahoo! Messenger.
So far, an estimated 10,050 computers in Vietnam have become victims of the virus.
Through analysis, Bkis' team has identified the culprit who created the virus, has verified the name, phone number and address of the suspect.
According to Bkis, the team has carried out a test to "tighten" the suspect and this person may have felt scared, so the source of virus spread on the Internet was immediately lowered. Currently, Bkis is working with security agencies to handle the case.
In parallel with the virus analysis, determining the culprit spreading, Bkis has completed the entire treatment plan and named the virus GaixinhYMA and GaixinhYMB.
