Weather changes cause fat to move in the body, thus altering the body shape at certain times of the year.

Researchers say it is the variation in testosterone levels that promotes body shape changes. This hormone, associated with corn tumors and aggressive, seasonal changes in both men and women.

The most obvious change is in the hips and waist. When testosterone increases, women become less waist-tight as fat moves to the waist. The opposite happens in men, the amount of fat is kept more in the abdomen when testosterone levels decrease.

Scientists tested seasonal testosterone changes in saliva in 220 women and 127 men. They also measured women's waist and hip in each season.

" We found that both sexes' testosterone was highest in the fall, " said Sari van Anders, Simon Fraser University, Canada, who led the study. " At the same time, the difference between women's waist and hips is lowest in the fall, and the amount of fat concentrated in areas (such as belly fat) is also higher than in the autumn of women ."

Women also have high testosterone levels in the summer. Men have the lowest amount of this hormone in the spring.

Research shows that women will become the best in winter and spring. Meanwhile, men will be more masculine in the spring.

Scientists are still unclear why there is a change in body shape. Van Anders argues that these changes may be a by-product of seasonal testosterone changes, stemming from factors such as health, immune system, reproduction and behavior.
