Humans can settle on Mars in 2027

A Dutch organization said it would take people to permanently settle on Mars in 2027.

Bas Lansdorp, general manager of Mars One, a Dutch organization, said it would take people to live on Mars in 2027, CNN on October 11.

His plan is to build a permanent settlement on the red planet."The people we put on Mars will live here permanently , " Lansdorp said.

Members of the crew will be selected from the people. Although this is a one-way journey, it still attracts tens of thousands of people to register. However, only 4 people were selected for the first trip.

"Every four years, four people will be put on Mars. Instead of trying to get people back, we will regularly bring more astronauts there , " Lansdorp said.

Lansdorp is confident that the plan will succeed. He also gives advice to people who want to participate in the project.

"The most important skill is teamwork . You need to be the best group because your life depends on each other. That's the core of this mission," Lansdorp said.
