Inside the 'Invisible House' worth nearly 440 billion VND in the middle of the desert: There is a swimming pool almost as long as the house, the rental price is hundreds of millions/night
'This architectural achievement in the middle of the desert offers unique intangibles that can only be experienced in person,' said the listing agents.
Producers Chris Hanley and Roberta Hanley are known for innovative film projects, such as "American Psycho" and Sofia Coppola's directorial debut, "The Virgin Suicides." Before his film career, Chris Hanley worked in the art industry, selling works by luminaries such as the late Andy Warhol and the late Jean-Michel Basquiat.
When it came time for the Hanleys to design their home, they wanted something out of the ordinary. The Hanleys teamed up with architect Tomas Orsinski to design the landmark 'Invisible House' in Joshua Tree National Park , California. The architectural icon hit the market for $18 million earlier this year.

Inspired by the classic sci-fi film "2001: A Space Odyssey " , this house is a mirrored box measuring over 510 square meters . The most notable feature of the rectangular house is undoubtedly its mirrored exterior . It is this unique element that gives this property its name "The Invisible House" , reflecting the entire surrounding landscape and seemingly blending into the landscape, making the house disappear.
Heat-reflecting Solarcool glass gives the home a unique look, keeping the interior temperate despite the harsh desert weather while filtering out harmful UV rays. An eco-friendly foam roof and solar power system make the home a model of sustainability.
Sharing with the Wall Street Journal, Chris Hanley said the cost of buying glass to build the house cost nearly 700,000 USD (equivalent to 17 billion VND) .

Once inside, the large floor-to-ceiling windows further blur the distinction between indoors and out. The unique structure cantileveres some 30 meters high and faces west so that those inside can experience the full extent of the desert sunset.
One of Matt Adamo's (AKG - Christie's International Real Estate) favorite things about the home is the sun setting in the master bedroom proper. "You can stay there all day and see the house light up in different ways from the angle of the sun and the stars."
The invisible house has a 100-foot swimming pool that spans the width of the living room. According to Supercar Blondie, the pool spans nearly half the length of the house. In addition to the pool, the house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

'Putting the Invisible House on the market for the first time is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,' said Matt Adamo, adding that the highest price ever paid for a home in Joshua Tree is $3.5 million.
The real estate agent has received many calls since the house went on the market. Much of the attention has come from potential buyers interested in the house as an investment property.

Matt Adamo added that there is more interest from potential buyers in the United States than from international buyers, as Americans are more aware of the cultural appeal of Joshua Tree's remote desert landscape. Meanwhile, international buyers are more interested in properties closer to the bright lights of Los Angeles, a two to three hour drive from Joshua Tree.
"In 2021, this house generated more than $1.4 million in total revenue ," Matt Adamo told CNBC.
If you want to experience the inside of this house, visitors can book a rental but need "deep pockets". Forbes magazine said the house is both a filming location and a luxury accommodation on Airbnb with nightly prices ranging from 2,500-6,000 USD (equivalent to 61-147 million VND).
