Molybdenum produces hard and durable carbide (carbon compounds, carbon compounds) in the form of alloys. Therefore, most of the production of this element in the world is to produce a variety of alloy steels including high strength alloys and super alloys.
Last January, Iran's former Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari said that the country's mineral reserves will be maintained for 140 years if 400 million tons per year are exploited. Estimates of Iran's potential mineral reserves are about 57 to 58 billion tons, of which 37-38 billion tons are certified.
Currently Iran owns 2% of the total mineral reserves worldwide.
