Management of common skin fungal disease

Tinea is a common disease in skin diseases, the disease is not lethal but very uncomfortable, affecting life and labor productivity. Treatment of persistent and recurring disease, even anxiety for patients.

Fungi in the body, lesions are localized in smooth skin (without long hair and hair). There are red patches, a clear limit, with vesicles and scaly skin, which tends to spread in the middle. The central region is dark, lightly scabbed, vesicles arranged at the lesion.

Inguinal fungus : Lesions are circular or arc-shaped patches with very limited limits. The center of the brown is slightly scaly outside the lesion. From the side of the groin, it can develop both on the symmetrical side, spread to the pubic bone, thighs, interstitial, around the waist and under the breast.

Mushrooms in the legs : Very common in swimmers, mine workers, people who often wear closed shoes. The disease spreads in public baths, swimming pools or spread by sharing shoes, socks and boots. The disease is common in people with sweaty feet and closed toes. Can manifest by flaking of the soles of the feet into small patches or large patches. Sometimes the third interstitial disease of the toe appears. White legs. Under wet skin is wet red skin. Or sometimes on the edge of the foot, the soles of the feet have deep, concentrated vesicles that are often called leeches.

Onychomycosis : Begin lesions on the free margin or the sides of the nail, then spread into the nail. On the surface of the nail, pock-white dots or large grooves. The nail gradually becomes thick, easy, dirty and brown.

Benalea : Lesions often in the horny layer of the epidermis. There are inlaid colors of milk coffee, light yellow or red. On the lesion surface, there are small scales, shaving easily. The size of the inlaid scales varies from small spots to large patches of lava-like maps, often located in the neck, chest, back, inside the arms, which can spread to the abdomen and face in the thighs.

How to manage fungal skin disease?

On the spot : Previously used ASA solution, blemishes are often painful and burning when applied. Currently there are many new antifungal medications such as fazol, clotrimazol, ketoconazole, tiocnazol (trosyd), convenient and non-irritating. If the lesion is at an acute or eczema stage, soothe the skin with a 0.25% jarish or silver nitrate solution, then apply antifungal medication. Absolutely do not use hard objects scraping lesions. Do not bathe, wash lesions with soap. Clothes, especially underwear, must be boiled. To prevent recurrence, it is necessary to continue applying antifungal medication within 1-2 weeks after the lesion surface has been removed. Rub the antifungal powder into the skin, sprinkle it into shoes, socks.

For onychomycosis, if only one part of the nail is damaged, it can be used to remove the diseased nail and a healthy part of the nail. If the entire nail is ill, peel off the nail by applying nail softener and pulling out the nail gently without hurting the foundation. Apply antifungal medication after filing or peeling off the nail.

Body : Use anti-fungal oral antibiotics (if the disease spreads or many nails are damaged).

For nail fungus, use griseofulvin 125mg x 4 tablets / day, used in the first month; twice a day during the 2nd month and twice a week during the 3rd month.

Or ketoconazole 200mg / day, for 3-4 weeks. For other types of skin fungus, depending on the case, take griseofulvin at 10mg / kg body weight / day, for 4-6 weeks; or take ketoconazole 200mg / day, take 2-3 weeks.
