Next, the computer can "stitch" each image individually to create a video footage of that scene, then from there to accelerate or reduce the frame rate.

The effect of the above system will create the so-called 'bullet time' , also known as 'freezing time' . The term comes from scenes from the Matrix series, in particular the main character Neo sees the speed of the beams flying in the direction of slow motion, making him escape easily.

According to The Ashahi Shimbun, NHK's system includes 8 cameras, each with different rotation, tilt, zoom in / zoom out. When the main camera rotates, the other 8 cameras also follow, and only one person controls the system, before building a 360-degree image. This is good news for sports enthusiasts, promising perfect frames in stressful matches.
