The GLOBE Program Cooperation Agreement signing ceremony between Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and NASA took place on the morning of December 9, in Hanoi.
GLOBE is an international practice science education program that aims to help students, teachers, scientists and community members improve environmental awareness, understanding the culture and the global community.
Founded in 1995, GLOBE's network of 113 countries has cooperated together to train more than 58,000 teachers and 1.5 thousand students to participate in data collection and environmental awareness raising. Earth.

The GLOBE program has been one of many collaborations between VAST and NASA since 2011 after two agencies signed a joint scientific collaboration statement on civil aviation and space operations. Collaborative activities include: exchanging Earth observation planetary data, identifying locations for space surveying systems and global exploration satellite systems .
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. WITH. Chau Van Minh, VAST President affirmed that signing the GLOBE program will help Vietnam improve the quality of scientific education, improve the awareness of the environment among young people, build links between scientists.
