Because the cold air is weak, the temperature in the past 2 months is much higher than the average for many years. In particular, the average temperature in October in Hanoi is 27.4 degrees C, 2.8 degrees higher than the average of many years, This is the highest level in 80 years.

In the first 20 days of November, the temperature is at a very high level in some localities, likely to reach a historic high. The total rainfall from May to October in the whole country is quite high compared to the average of many years.

Specifically: the North West and the South lost 5 - 10%; Northern mountainous region, Northeastern region and Northern Delta region 10-20%; Central Vietnam 10-30%. Particularly in the Central Highlands, the annual rainfall exceeds 5 - 20%. The total rainfall in October and 20 days in early November is much lower than the average for many years.

In the North and North Central Coast, rainfall is reduced from 50 - 80%, while other areas are 30-60%. Even in some places the whole of October hardly rains like Phu Lien (Hai Phong), the October rainfall is only 0.3 mm (the lowest October rain of Phu Lien in the 50-year historical series); Cao Bang lost 93%; Hung Yen and Van Ly 90%, Quynh Nhai and Hai Duong lost 86%.
