The new aircraft design with this radical change is to place the passenger cabin in the wing of the aircraft along with the cargo boxes and fuel to improve fuel efficiency.

In an effort to "make air transport more sustainable," the Dutch airline KLM introduced the design of the "Flying-V" aircraft with a V-shaped shape. This thoroughness will place the passenger cabin in the wing of the aircraft along with the cargo and fuel tanks to improve fuel efficiency.

Mr. Pieter Elbers, Chairman and CEO of Dutch airline KLM will work with the Chief of Aerospace Engineering Engineering Henri Werij at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), to develop Flying-V . It may be equivalent to Airbus A350 but uses 20% less fuel. In fact, Flying-V is the brainchild of Justus Benad, a student working on a thesis at TU Berlin.

.Flying-V will be propelled by jet engines but is currently designed to fly with kerosene fuel.

One of the features Flying-V will share with the A350 is the same wing span . That means Flying-V will be able to accommodate existing airports, gates and runways. In addition, this futuristic aircraft will be able to do many of the same things as the A350, carrying the same amount of passengers and cargo, but the smaller design makes it easier to fly due to less drag. Flying-V will be propelled by jet engines but is currently designed to fly with kerosene fuel.

Although we will have to wait a little longer to see Flying-V in reality, KLM declared that " Flying-V's practical flight and interior model will be officially presented at the KLM Experience event at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport will arrive in October on the occasion of KLM's 100th anniversary ".

In this performance, Flying-V prototype will be " fly at low speed - takeoff and landing process" to check stability and reliability.
